White Gold Jewellery
White gold jewellery offers all the prestige of gold with a cool, silvery-white finish that suits every skin tone. It’s made by alloying pure gold with white metals and finishing it with rhodium for a bright, modern shine. It sits naturally alongside diamonds and pale gemstones, which is part of why white gold has become a favourite for both everyday wear and milestone occasions. Hard-wearing and quietly luxurious, it’s a contemporary alternative to traditional yellow gold without losing any of the value or feel of real gold. Browse the full range below.
White Gold Jewellery FAQs
White gold is an alloy of pure gold mixed with white metals such as palladium, silver or nickel. It's typically plated with rhodium to achieve its bright white finish and is available in different purities like 9ct, 14ct, and 18ct.
White gold itself doesn't tarnish, but the rhodium plating can wear off over time and let a slightly warmer, yellowish tone show through underneath. Having it re-plated every few years can restore the original bright white finish.
9ct white gold is 37.5% pure gold, whilst 18ct is 75% pure gold. Higher carat gold is more valuable and durable, but 9ct is more affordable and still maintains good strength for everyday wear.
Clean white gold with warm soapy water and a soft brush, then dry it thoroughly. Store pieces separately to prevent scratching. Avoid harsh chemicals and remove jewellery before swimming, cleaning or exercising to keep them looking their best.
